What I thought it was: A mystery case where the victim was Benjamin Button and the mastermind villain just happened to be Mr. Gateau that rigged his large clock to move counter clockwise for a major evil plot.

What it actually was: Benjamin button was born with a disease that made his appearance that from an old man at a very young age to a young man at a very old age. The entire movie is based on his daughter telling Benjamin’s life story via his diary to her dying mother. Benjamin is her father. Mr. Gateau is a blind man that built the clock as a purpose to ‘return back to the time where the fallen soldiers came home during the world war’, including his own son.

In other words, I feel guilty for the characters for letting my imagination run wild. ‘Twas a good movie, though.
